Bumping to the latest minor release of Bio-Formats.
https://forum.image.sc/t/release-of-bio-formats-6-8-0/60895 for details on what all is included

One particular note on some of the dependencies bumps:

  • we have bumped jhdf5 to version 19.04.0
  • we have bumped commons-lang to version 2.6
  • we have added a new dependency to support zstd compression for CZI files
      <groupId>io.airlift</groupId>
      <artifactId>aircompressor</artifactId>
      <version>0.18</version>

Thanks @dgault!

About the JHDF5 dependency update: thanks for that. As such, this PR now depends on #181 being resolved, so I adjusted that issue's milestone from unscheduled to next-release. I'm planning to work on pom-scijava-related things tomorrow and probably also next week, so hopefully I can get this merged before end of next week. (If not, it will sit till early January due to holidays etc.)

@dgault Thanks! Just a heads up that in the release announcement, you wrote:

and is now available from the Java-8 update site for Fiji users.

But Fiji is not shipping with the 19.04.0 version of JHDF5 yet. So I anticipate that Bio-Formats formats requiring HDF5 support might be non-functional as things currently stand. Might be worth a quick test, before users start reporting issues. On my side, I'll be working on the pom-scijava release (+ Fiji update) again soon, likely next week.

But Fiji is not shipping with the 19.04.0 version of JHDF5 yet.

As the upstream support only involved a dependency bump in the POM with no other related code change, my expectation is that Bio-Formats 6.8.1 should remain functional with JHDF5 14.12.6, currently shipped in Fiji. If we get some user reports that the JHDF based readers (CellH5, BDV) start failing, we'll update this thread accordingly
